  I've always fancied a week in Spain on the bike but didn't want to stay in a 4 star hotel on the beach, 'cycle like a pro' and be coached within an inch of my life! I wanted to be on holiday, ride plenty of hard miles and stay up in the hills with some good company and food. This is easy to find in the Alps or Pyrenees but not so much in Spain.

  Step forward Abdet and Casa Serella. A great location. Great hosts. Good food. Simple cottages with everything you need. A comfy bed. Surrounded by lovely hills and mountains. Sounds good, no?

  The riding is also terrific. It's tough (there's NO flat valley riding,) so although the mountains are small by Alpine standards, your tally of metres climbed will be right up there! And it really is very very beautiful.

  This was an all inclusive week, ALL food, drinks in the evening etc, so you only need to cough up for coffee and beer etc at lunch time: it's terrific value for money.

  Great comfortable base for our road cycling trip. Abdet in September was warm and sunny with a pleasant freshness in the air. Cycling out everyday on the well maintained, quiet roads was a delight. Stopping off at small mountain villages for coffee's and lunch gave us a real taste of the true Spain. Fantastic!
